ALPFA DC Chapter Wins Award
On Friday, August 15, 2008, the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) Washington, D.C. Chapter hosted their Annual Scholarship and Awards Dinner at the Embassy Suites-DC Convention Center in Washington, D.C. This event supports their scholarship program as well as recognizes members, corporations, and friends who have supported the organization over the past year. The ALPFA Washington, DC chapter was the proud recipient of the Coalition Award. Oscar Mardis, NBMBAA DC chapter president, recognized ALPFA’s continuous cooperation and partnership. The Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton delivered a very inspiring keynote address. Among other awards, Corporation of the Year award was given to PricewaterhouseCoopers; and Community Service Award to Target Corporation.
